I have spent the latest half of my life living with the ‘foreigner’ label. Matters of coming to terms with one’s identities lie at the core of my practice which has been rooted in diaristic writing and backed by my investigation of the shift between translation and adaptation.

In terms of visual arts, my inquiry is informed by the fascination with photographic and moving image traditions. However, the variety of disciplines I use in my practice puts my work in a broad category of mixed media art. I have been involved in projects like: fiction films, creative documentaries, video art, publications, sculptural installations and sound art.

I am interested in stories, and aesthetic qualities of film production that convey them. I would like to break down the limitations of film as an immersive medium and investigate its sculptural, durational qualities. I know how to work with formal parameters and aesthetics to create the mise en scene. I investigate the ties between appropriation, adaptation and identity both in the spoken and the visual language.

I was born in Wroclaw (Poland), lived in Denmark (Aalborg, Ebeltoft and Copenhagen), Italy (Venice) and now Glasgow.
I'm available for commissions, collaborations and freelance film jobs.
